Today: 10km
Week: 16km
Month: 322km
Year: 630km
I started out this morning in the dark doing my 3km warm up before the sweat session. It is such a spectacular time of the morning... watching the colours change as the sun gets up. It was really still and cool this morning- running to the music from Lord of the rings just agged to the nice morning :-)
We had 10 x 300m reps with 30 sec active recovery this morning. I have not done this session before and had no idea what pace I should aim for. I looked at my last 600m time and took a bit off and thought I would aim for 1:20 per rep. This was a pretty intense session as the 30 secs recovery whizzed by.... but at least it was over quickly. I was able to keep up with girls a bit better this morning... only a few secs behind each rep- but still last :-) I was pretty happy with my times and finished feeling pooped! You would think with my recently re-redded hair i would go faster ;-)
Splits: 1:19, 1:18, 1:17, 1:17, 1:16, 1:16, 1:15, 1:14, 1:13, 1:12

All good leaders position themselves at the rear Kit - that way you can see everything that is happening....
Another nice session and there is nothing wrong with the times either - I love the way they got faster and faster.
Nice job mate ;-)
I was out running 4min efforts this morning - 4 of them. The added motivation to work hard was because I was going out for a pancake breakfast afterwards!!!!
Good session!
Great times there for 300s Kit, especially the way they got faster and faster.
So do you guys all do a warm up on your own and then start the session?
Just think Kit. The way that your splits were going, if you'd kept going you would have been at world record time before long :-)
Besides, the race is not the reward. The CHOCOLATE is the reward! :-) :-)

You can be excited for me too if you like! I'm too tired!
I thought your hair was quite red this morning. Sometimes I wonder if I'm not awake or just not paying attention at training.
There was a red flash, but could've been the other lady in a red singlet.
With that speed you'll have to change that Kit Gump poster for a Prefontaine one.
They were good 300s - about 4:15/km pace!
Good one Kit! Only 39 days to go mate. You will be so glad you have done every one of those quality sessions when you pin on that race bib!
Pancakes, chocolate, I shouldn't read these comments. :) It should all be going well for that marathon, and don't get too stressed about it. Is it Canberra you're doing? If so I can throw chocolate pancakes at you as you run past, that might help you enjoy it more...?
