Today: 6km
Week:6km
Month:164.5km
Year:488.5km
Today I had a day off and had the most well earned sleep in!!! I feel like I have been up at 5am every morning for weeks and it was starting to catch up to me. So I spent the morning eating cereal in bed and watching crap on the TV... bliss! I was initially going to make today a rest day, but by this afternoon I was feeling pretty good and after reading DJ blog of a one hour recovery run, I thought how hard could 30mins be. So I set out with the plan to run 6min km's and ended up running an average of 5:05min/km ...ooops! I hold the music on the i-pod completely responsible! I was merely running along minding my own business.... it is not my fault that the Blues Brothers "shake your tail feather" or Queens "rock me" caused my legs to run to the beat of the music and put a smile on my face..... I can't be held responsible for singing out loud to "dancing queen"- can I ??? Anyway I had a great run... but will probably regret it in the morning with 10 x 400 reps on the program.... maby I should pack my i-pod!!
Distance: 6km
Time: 30:30
Average splits: 5:05min/km ( 5:23,5:04, 5:00, 5:00, 4:58, 5:05)

Yes Miss K, you certanly can and will be held responsible for singing out loud to 'Dancing Queen'. I hold Jen responsible for that one. Has she been corrupting you with really bad eighties music?
But hey, if it gets results like these then go for it!
yeh, it was the music that did it, not me. I didn't do nothing.
Everybody talks about listening to the body when you are tired or sore. This is a new concept, listening to it when you feel great!
LOL if only sportstab would have taken my bet - I knew you would run - great job Kit :-)
Nice one. That's a bonus 6 km for the bank.
I recall having some problems sleeping when in heavy training and all else suggested I'd sleep like a log. I don't have a lot of advice, but soem things worth trying are: no caffeine after 3 pm; try doing some exercise and having a hot shower/bath 30 minutes to an hour before bed; no alcohol (counterintuitive, I know); make more effort to get to bed earlier and read for a while before attempting to sleep. I'm sure others will have some more ideas, but they are a few that I have tried with varyiong success.
