I did not make the FF 10km.... too hard to fit this in and visit mum- so the decision was an easy one :) I headed off to Brett Park this morning and did an 8km loop through Drummymone and along the water. My plan was for a really easy run but was feeling really good -so I really worked hard in the last 3 kms, putting on a bit of a sprint at the end. The last 3kms were about 4:40/km pace and we tried to maintain that up the hills. My poor glutes were yelling out after all the squats I made them do yesterday! As always finished this run at Bowen Island with yummy fruit toast and a capacinno!

Average pace: 5:20/km
Fastest pace: 3:50/km (for a few split seconds!)
I am planning to do my long run with Striders tommorow at Berrowra..... this one goes through the bush, which I love! I will have to force myself out of bed early for the 6am start :( I will definately need a nana nap tommorow!

I did a long run this morning after a lower body weights session at the gym yesterday and boy, did I feel it in the glutes today, as well. Mind you, I didn't finish with fruit toast and cappuccino - though would've loved too!
