Today we had wild wally on the program and I was a bit nervous. I have not done any hill stuff since before the marathon. We warmed up and did the drills and strides and then started the session. I had 7 reps of the hill today, which was also a first. I usually only have 5. I made sure I did not go too quick on the fisrt rep but was surprised by my time. Sean wanted us to get faster on each rep and I was not sure if theis would be doable. Linda and I were working together... she is better on the uphill and I am stronger on the downhill. I felt great today... the first session in ages that I have felt like I had the oomph to put in 100%. My 5th rep was 3:03 and I decided I would aim for sub 3mins for the last two. I worked hard on the 6th rep and when Sean called out 3:03 I could not believe it. Bernie then reminded me of the girls who ran the marathon in hot pants and ribbons and said I would have to wear ribbons if I did not do a sub 3mins. I surged up the hill but at the top the legs felt like jelly so I was not able to be as quick as usual on the down hill. I could hear Sean counting down and I put in 100% and cross..... yep at 3:03!! Can you belive it??? Well that is consistancy for you :-) So it looks like I need to invest in some ribbons :-) I was really pleased with the session. It was the fist time I had done 7 reps and I managed to keep my times pretty consistant. My best wild wally time is 2:58 so I am pretty happy with my times today!!
Splits: 3:11, 3:09, 3:07, 3:06, 3:03, 3:03, 3:03

You will have to post a pic of you with ribbons Kit ;-)
I think there were more 303's in that session than in Breaker Morant.
Your going to look so good with those ribbons. You looked really strong today, and it was a great effort with 7 reps.
Just make sure they're CR coloured ribbons! Sounds like a tough session I missed :)
I will let alex lend you some of hers, she has them in the strider green...i think you would be sooo pretty with ribbons....
Good hill session. Bernie's been practising that ribbons line on Blue Dog.
I love slipping a few ribbons on with the high cut shorts.
I've been getting behind in my reading, so here's a few catch-ups.
1. Thanks for the catering on Saturday. It was all great, but the chocolate cake was the best!
2. How did the violin lesson go? You'll whip those kid's butts. No contest. Youth and skill will never beat old age and craftiness :-)
3. It's a bit late to be writing this now, but I would have thought the CR5k would be the ideal place for the ribbons' first outing...
