Today: 8km
Week: 29km
Month: 238km

I had 800m reps this morning and I was feeling keen to have a good session after a crappy week last week. I warmed up with Bernie and heard all about her heroic effort on Sunday..... finishing again with blood flowing! We slowly warmed up to let her body adjust to the rude shock she was going to make it run after such a huge effort! We did the drills and then the strides which felt pretty good. We got going and I was surprised that I felt pretty good. My aim today was put in a good effort and try to keep the times consistant. After the 4th rep I was feeling pretty pooped and had to work really hard in the 2nd 400ms to make up some time. I felt great once we finished...I love that feeling when you have worked really hard and you feel satisfied and pooped. So there are about 6 weeks to go til the central coast half which is my next goal. I would really like to improve my 1:46:24 that I did at Gold Coast in July. I think I can do 1:45 and am going to give it a good crack! I am looking forward to the 5km CR run on saturday..... mainly tosee how Ray goes :-)

Those 800s are killers. Good endurance training.
Ray will carve up the 5km course with a slashing run.
You were looking in really good form during the reps.
Here I was thinking that Central Coast is ages away....but 6 weeks !! Thanks for the reminder
The 5k on Saturday will be a good indicator Kit.
I reckon 1.45 is very definitely within in reach for you - particularly at CC.
