True to my word....
Well I do like to keep a promise... so this mornining I volunteered and helped out at the Striders 10kms. It was a really beautiful morning, spectacular back drop and I would have loved a run BUT all good things come to those who wait! I had a ball with Kerry, Deanne and Lowana cheering all the runners on. Lots of great runs this morning... Gronk with a fraction of a PB and the smooth Don Juan who teased us at training about how slow he was and how he would treat the run as a bit of a Fartlek.... maby I should try that and get a PB!!! Seriously great running... look out for the rest of the year :-) I was glad for the rest day today... felt a bit achy after my massage last night and am now seriously itching for a run tommorow. Tommorow is 15kms with the MTG.... plan is to run nice and slow and just enjoy the build up and excitement. Next week is lots of really short and easy runs. I will go to training this week but Sean has adjusted it for us and we will just go through the motions and keep the legs ticking over. So BRING IT ON!!! This week will feel like I am waiting for Christmas..... but I plan on enjoying the anticipation. Nothing like the excitiment of the first one...that apprehension and uncertainty. The good thing is I feel preapred and ready to go. So seatbelts on ....... here we go :-)

You ARE prepared ;-)
Enjoy the week. Hope it doesn't drag out for too long in all the anticipation :)
What a music list. All the good motivational songs with a mix of everything else as well!
Well done for volunteering and cheering.
So I'm a tease? talk about the pot calling the kettle black ;-).
Good breakfast. I liked your story how your taper kms equal another person's peak training kms.
Wow Katie, I remember you using that phrase "bring it on" so long ago. Now its just about here!!!
Love ya music mix, there's a couple of songs there I'll be snaffling for sure.
Have a good week. Don't let the taper drive you too crazy.
It is certainly a great feeling knowing your going to the starting line of a marathon prepared for what is ahead.
Now just have to get the execution right on the day.
Best of luck.
