I went to training this morning and continuing in my wusiness had my long skins on and a jumper to initially warm up. The leg felt good after my initial warm up so decided to continue with the session. I had two 1200m reps onm my program and decided to not push very hard given how my leg has felt. My energy level felt back to normal and am itching to run and get right back into training. .... which is great all I need now is to get this leg feeling 100%. Unfortunately by the end of the 2nd rep it was tight and uncomfortable. It was not painful, but definately not right. On a plus side I could pin point it a bit better..... it is feeling really tight behind the knee where the hamstring and calf attach to the knee. The calf and hamstring have both been feeling really tight so it makes sense. So more rest for me, more stretching and I will try and book in to see Easy Tiger again. I think I will have to stop being a baby and get into the pool!!! I am going to ask the physios at work if it is ok to ride the bike or if that is just adding to the problem. Any way, no dramas a few more days of rest from running and I will see how it is at the end of the week. I can tell you I will be soooo ready to get back into it once this sorts itself out. I am resisting running off to the physio... trying the rest option first as it starts to cost an absolute fortune paying $70 a pop! So stay tuned.....

Yeah, you big baby and wus, go for a swim.
Ray still hasn't completed the massage and physio courses to support your running?
Enjoy the break, otherwise you'll wish you had a break in a few weeks.
take it easy kit! wish i'd been there this morning cause it was so un-fun to run around a pretend 400m course i guess-timated all on my own!
Take it steady Kit - don't want to undo all the good work you have done since the sekret training camp in Japan ;-)
I saw you slow jogging around the oval with Bernie. Take it easy on that ITB. Just ask Bernie she had the same problem last year I think. Swimming, low impact.
I know how you feel about the swimming thing Kit. Even if the pool is heated your brain still knows its not summer!
Hang in there Kit. I'm sure the few days off will do you the world of good.
I think 26 days easy and/or rest after a marathon is justifiable. I hope it clears up.
