Fartlek around the park

This morning was a fartlek session with Seans group. I was curious how I would feel after yesterdays run... but made sure I ate well and drank heaps ast night. After my inital warm up I felt pretty good. I managed to keep a good pace in the surges... between 4:30-4:50/km. I still died on the hill... but no stopping. I really did not feel especially tired after yesterdays long run... but I can feel a tight muscle pulling around the knee. No pain... I can just feel it. SO I will get the elbow into it tonight and see how it feels tommorow. On a really good note... glute, ITB and Hamstring all happy!!!! Woo Hoo!

Distance: 10.7km (including a 1.4km warm up)
Time: 1hr and 3 sec
Average pace: 5:30/km

That's a big double: the last 2 sessions. Now don't push yourself too hard (says mr reckless). Easy Friday.

So, what's your secret recovery potion then Katie???

Hope your elbows aren't as bony as my massage guy's ;-)

Wow, that's a huge couple of days that you have had! Get stuck into that muscle tonight, take it easy on Friday and you'll be ready for Quarry Road on Saturday :-)

You're starting to outdo us all kitty kat. Take it easy in the lead-up to Chrissy so you can still manage a Chrissy Day Run (can't miss those).

All the best - and stay safe :)

That's why historically cemetaries where built on hills - for all the runners that died on them ;-)

Like DJ said - easy Friday and then the hills come alive on Saturday.

Great to hear no probs with the lazy bums! All that physio must be paying off. I'm missing my running already after only 5 days off.. never thought that would happen!
