Canberra...gulp

Today is a rest day after my long run yesterday. I wore my skins yesterday and slept in them last night and my legs feel great this morning!!! No soreness and the ITB and Hammies do not feel tight... woo hoo!!! I also felt no where near as tired after yesterdays run. The foot is feeling a lot better today... I keep rubbing some voltarin gel on it. One way to take your mind off the pain in your foot is to pull the sports tape off really quickly and tear massive strips of skin off... OUCH!! So I got ray to take a photo... I am going to out gross Gronk!! ( I will add photo tonight!)

I am off for another massage tonight... try out a new lady. Hopefully she will not be scared and dig deep :-)

Also I am very EXCITED!!!! I booked accommodation for Canberra this morning! Now it feels real- and I am feeling really excited! I am a bit superstitious and try not to get too excited-- I do not want to tempt fate BUT I can't help it. It is a funny mixture of woo hoo bring it on and Ohh my god will I be able to run a marathon!

So I will be saying regular prayer to the running Gods, training hard and aiming for a sub 4hr marathon **GULP**

Tommorow is track session at centenial park... I will just ease back into it :-)

You're ready for Canberra right now. Going for gold sub-4 hours from here on in.

You can also try out a new lady at Kings X for massages. They aren't scared and they'll wear skins, or anything else you like.

Tomorrow's 400m reps, I'll be ready for a walking frame with wheels, bring it on!

Kit, so pleased you've made the booking for Canberra & there's no doubt at all that you can & will run well for the marathon; I'll see you there! In the meantime, have a wonderful Christmas with lots of goodies from Santa!

Fantastic news about entering Canberra Kit. If you stay in one piece, I am sure you will run sub 4 hours. Look forward to seeing you down there.

Kit, great to hear the room is booked. No backing out now. Your training this year has all been helping you in getting under the 4hrs. Good luck and see you at a STaR real soon.
