This morning I headed to the gym for an early workout- upper body stuff, glute exercises and abs. This afternoon I headed out for a 30mins easy run. It was a bit warm in the sun, but there was a nice breeze to keep me a bit cool. I just ran around the local area.... good old King Georges road with its millions of cars. I would love to live by the water or have some nice bush close by to tromp through. Any way apart from the cars it was a nice relaxing run. I did not worry about time etc just enjoyed running to my music. My hammies were a bit tired tonight...probably the hills yesterday or maby the gym?? Tommorow my program has me doing an hour- Deanne and I are going to meet at the park at 7am as we are both doing the same thing. Then a nice long run on Sunday- 30kms. Next week I am going to give the 8km Oz day run a go. this will give me an idea of where I am at fitness wise. My best 8km time has been 40mins... I am going to aim for 38:??mins if all goes well.
Distance: 5.7km
Average Pace: 5:12 min/km

Wow - sounds like you have some really positive things happening Kit. Best wishes for keeping those injuries at bay!
My legs were stiff today. Must have been that last lap of big bertha.
Good luck with the 38 minute on Oz day! How on earth do you fit all that training in?

Can't wait to catch up in the Aus Day run Katie! The way you have been training I have no doubt you will smash that 38 minute mark.
