1200's

today: 9km
week total: 9km
month: 97.5
year: 97.5

There was a huge group at the park this morning- makes the reps a lot more fun. This morning I had 4 x 1200m reps with 2 min active recovery. I got to the park a bit early to do a good warm up to loosen the legs- They are feeling a bit sore after Sundays run.... even my abs were sore. We did the usual drills and strides and then into the reps. The faster guys had to do 1600m reps... haha I was happy to be a slowy this morning :-) The last time I did this session I went out way too hard for the first two and the last two were VERY UGLY!!! So this morning the plan was again to start a bit easier and take time off each rep. I felt pretty relaxed for the whole session- the good thing is I am getting much better at staying focused and relaxed. I used to find all I wanted to do was stop or slow down... getting easier. I am feeling happy with my training at the moment... I am getting the hang of pacing myself better. Now a bit of consistancy and I will hopefully see some improvements in speed.

Total Distance: 9km (3km warm up)
Reps: 5:55, 5:48, 5:45, 5:37

Great session Kit, well done :-)

Pacing must be the hardest thing to learn - I can't do it in the pool either, LOL!

you're running well Kit. I was trying to catch you all morning and only Ewan had any faint hope of that.

Sean found an ultra-marathon book left behind at training, could have been yours!! Super-size you up to Canberra ultra!

Well done Katie! I'm so impressed by the way you always get faster with each rep ... what's the secret!

Well done Kit. Good for you for getting that session done. Although it makes me feel slack....

You have had some great runs lately Kit and seem to be making continual improvements in your running, which is what makes it all so worthwhile. Great job!

Nice one Kit. You're doing so well and I so want to be there.. soon very soon I hope. I saw Kerrie this morning we were both in the gym trying to do water running in the pool but it's too shallow for me.

wow - you're putting in some serious runs there back to back! I assume the clockwork key finally wound down on Monday and you had a rest?

Looks like the Canberra Prep is well and truly set for you kitty kat :)

Agree with the others, Kit... great progress. Very satisfying feeling when it's all over, isn't it? I know what you mean about the "ugly ones"!!

I am also a fan of the "tubs of margarine" analogy. Almost 2 gone.

Excellent visualisation.
