I slept in this morning and left Miss Bernie high and dry, so I made up for my tardiness with a run this evening. We had a great run around the waterfront. It was pretty warm but there was a really nice breeze to keep us cool..... although it turned into an annoying headwind for a few km's! We both felt really cruisy and was surprised by the 5:21/km pace. This week is an easier week which is going to be much appreciated. Sean is alternating harder weks and lighter weeks which seems to work really well and lets the body adjust to the tougher sessions. I am looking forward to Striders this saturday and Helen has agreed to run with me... woo hoo!!!

We had an abridged version of Big Bertha today. I had 6 laps instead of 10. I felt great this morning and was actually feeling like I wanted to do the full 10. You know the feeling you get when things are clicking.... but I decided that it was better to do the program and be sensible. I had decided I would not let the hil get the better of me today and I think I came out on top! I usually hover around the 2:10 mark per lap.... my best lap previously has been 2:03 so I was ecstatic with my laps :-)
Laps: 1:58, 2:00, 2:03, 2:06, 2:08, 2:06 6 laps 12 :31

You ran a great time this morning. You are in good hands on Saturday. I can feel a celebration coming on.
6 laps instead of 10? Sounds a bit soft.
Smashing times. You'll carve up Lane Cove.
Dont let Helen get away from you, you know what she'll do when she sees me switch on!
Sensible worked - very nice splits Kit. Sean must know a thing or two ;)
