Ray and I headed to Lane cove to do our long run today instead of the internal half tommorow. We ran teh 10km course and then another 10km in the bush and all over the place. It was perfect weather to run, nice and cool. There were a couple of cyclists doing laps in the park and one of them was particularly bad on the hills. They hooned past us on the way out and then we caught her running up Scribbly and then again on the other hill. She said to us ...."how embarrasing being caught by runners..." I just reassured her we were super fast :-) Over all covered 20km in 1hr 55min.
Sunday 22nd October
Rest day :-) We helped out at the internal half today which was really fun! Deanne and I went with a green and white them and made cupcakes and muffins and spounge cake and iced them in green and white. We also got green m&m's and milo bars (green paper).... plus all the healthy stuff! Seemed to go off pretty well and my highlight of the day was watching Deanne keep guard while I sliced the cakes, swating Indian Miners with a red flag!!

Ray and I went for a run nice and early this morning..... after I coaxed (dragged) him out of bed :-) Nothing too exciting to report, just a spectacular morning and good company! We ran 11km in 1hr. I am desparately needing to get new shoes this week and try to arrange a massage! I have my first violin lesson tonight and I am a bit nervous!! I have not played for 15years!!!! The teacher also told me I will have to play in the Christmas concert to build my confidence!!! How will having a bunch of younger kids whip my butt help with my confidence.... a lot like running with Sean really!!! Should be fun..... so Ray will need his ear muffs handy from tonight!!

Dont ya just love passing mountain bikers - it's one of my favourite sports at Narrowneck or Quarry Road.
Maybe you could get a gig with Striders volunteering to play the violin whenever someone is telling a sad tale of woe about their running.... hmmmm maybe I should book you ;-)
Iam glad that they all loved the sponge that you made.
Hope the violin goes well tonight...I am going to make you a green and white blanket for you on my new hobbies.
xxx
take care little one
The Green and White goodies were great!
Thanks for taking the time and effort, everyone seemed pretty keen on the food ;)
Enjoy tonight's lesson. Maybe you could give open air concerts to us girls in the Park on Wednesday's after our run.
Looking forward to the violin concert. It'll be a PB.
you know, i would rather fancy attending a kiddies concert and see all the Striders/CR folk in attendence....the kids might FREAK out, but hey:)
