All is quiet....

I am excited to report that I have managed another two runs over the past week....both were 4km and I felt great! It is feeling easier and easier every time I run. Yesterday I managed to get organised and out the door at 5pm and it was as hot as the sun! Previously I would have said it was too hot to run, but time is precious and I just lapped up the chance to get out for a run. Needless to say I got home as red a s a beetroot and sweating buckets!!! My new shoes feel so fantastic! I can not believe how dead my old ones were. I averaged 5:45/km for the run. I am going to aim for a run on Australia Day.....if I can get the logistics of feeding Charlie right.

She continues to grow and I am just smitten! I love the smell of her and can not help but stare at her when she sleeps! This last week we have had a few hard days where she would not sleep at all during the day and was very restless. She got so overtired and beside herself and it was really hard not knowing what to do to help her to sleep! Thankfully she is sleeping well at night, so it is managable during the day. Mind you you still question your ability as a mum when you can not seem to do something simple like get her to sleep. We tried everything....rocking, patting, singing, walking in the pram, bathing etc. After about 7hrs she finally just crashed! Last night she slept heaps and today she is back to her usual peaceful self. Apparantly it is normal for them to have a really unsettled day once a week. Ray was great, we just tag teamed to give each other a break. This is hard work!! All worth it though :-)

I have invested in a baby sling thing, as quite a few people have said on days like that they sometimes just want to be close to someone and at least that way you can still do some things....otherwise your stuck to the lounge with bub in arms! Hopefully she likes it!

Feeding time.......

Heh heh, I think you are faster than me now :D.

Hope the sling helps. Grete spends about 50% of the time at work in one. Think I wouldn't mind a ride in one myself, actually.

Enjoy your bub,

CU, Di.

Great to see that you're back to running already. I'm sure it won't be long before you're back to your normal speedy self.
