Mid week long run

I had a great run tonight around the bay. The first lap was a bit hot, but the second lap the sun was down a bit and a nice breeze made it pleasant. We ran 17kms in total in about 1hr 33mins (running time). I averaged 5:22.km pace and felt really strong. I had a lot more energy tonight and was able to pick the pace up in the last 5km.... doing the last few km in 4:30/km pace....with steve pushing me along. Glutes, hamies and ITB all felt good.. yeah! I am throwing out my socks though... they have given me a nice blister :-( Now for some dinner!!!

Distance: 17km
Time: 1hr 33min
Average Pace: 5:22/km
Mood: very happy!

Hitting race pace on a long mid week run, and with those buns of steel firing, you're back on track for Canberra 2006.

I was just going to say you keep up those times and paces and Canberra will be a breeze. Hope the glute is playing the game - mine is still quite sore. Have a great Christmas and New year and I hope 2006 brings you lots of happiness...and a trouble-free glute!!!!

Katie you are hootin' at the moment! That must've felt so good bringing it home at 4:30 pace.

Keep up the good work.
